Babies in the 5th month

The 5th month is said to be the period when babies' growth is pheonomenal.Suddenly your little one becomes more responsive, very active and is always trying to explore the world around him. This is the time when the moms will notice that their babies want to feel and touch different objects.Their grasping power has developed and as a result they like to reach the objects near them . So do keep some toys in front of them while they are having their tummy time . This way they will aslo learn to crawl very soon ..

This is the time when you can make them sit with a little support.Try different places, which would help them to maintain their body balance and gradually they will master the art of sitting. Babies are now at the stage where they are learning new words, you may not be aware of this ,but the fact is they try to imitate your lip movements. They are fascinated by the words you speak , hence teaching them words for everyhting thing you do , pick ,play would develop their cognitive skills.Next time you go out shopping with them, do point out at the things in different aisles.Repeat the words like bird, dog, tree, fan, sky by pointing them and yes..this is the best time to read stories to them.

So go ahead and enjoy your bonding time with your little ones..
