Children learn and play,play and learn !!

Playing is very important for the child's development. While playing the children

• learn about the world around them
• learn to use their imagination and problem solving skills
• learn to explore things around and be creative
• learn to interact and communicate.
  

When a child is playing, his brain is constantly at work.The toys that he plays with serve as an stimulant for his intellectual development.Its also said that playing provides a window to a child's personality,by observing a child while playing , we can figure out his reactions towards obstacles,victory and failure.Not only this,we can also get a insight of child's emotions,aptitude and his preferred learning styles.

Parents should regularly play with their children ,which not only makes the child happy but in this way parents are imbibing in their children their family values.It also enhances your closeness with your child. Playing should be made a fun -filled learning activity where a child learns as he plays and plays as he learns !!!

educating your child

Lately I came across a quote "the book of words is like a house of gold" which did not take me more than a friction of second to understand the message it had. Yes, there you go..it talked about the importance of education. Education they say, is a process of learning knowledge, information and skills during the course of life .

The kind of personality we have, the mannerism we possess, the attitude that we carry,the knowledge we flaunt,the character we develop, all come from the education that we have got.Education is something that makes us a socially acceptable,respectable,capable and worthy of being called a perfect human figure.Education is a very essential part of our lives, something that comes right next to taking a breath.Can you imagine a world without any education, a total illiteracy...well even the thought is scary, right? Education is a life long activity, starts when the person is born and dies with his death.Giving the right amount of education to everyone is very important to make this world a better place to live in.

The best thing that parents can give to their children after the unconditional love is the Education !! By educating your child your are not only teaching him but instilling in in him the passion of learning that would guide him all through his life and develop his creative side too.With the good education, the parents are actually opening a new world for their children.

We should teach our kids the importance of education in life.As parents, our job is not to dream of our kids' future but rather to provide them with good amount of education so that they have a strong foundation to dream for themselves and build the future of their own choice.!!

Parent child relationship

Of many relationships that we form in our lives, the parent child relationship is by far the most important one. It is the base , a foundation of one's personality.How we evolve as a person,to a large extent depends on the kind of a relation we have had with our parents.

Parenting , is not a easy task. It requires lot of patience,time and hard work to groom your children to perfect human beings.As parents its our duty to create a bonding with our kids, to make them realise that we are always there for them, to support,comfort,teach and help them,someone whom they can always rely on.! When a child can feel a sense of loyalty towards his parents, he will start sharing his dreams, secrets, fears and would respect them more.


Bonding is a prerequisite of a parent child relationship.We have to understand our kids, to know why they behaved that way in that particular situation, we need to put ourselves in their shoes.Spending time with the children, playing, hugging them,sharing and having a open communication with them is very important to encourage bonding. Children are mould of clay, who can be turned into any shape, as parents its our job to see what shape we want them to be. !!!

Being a mom

The moment a child is born, a mother is also born. Before that only a woman existed!

Motherhood , we all would agree is the best period of our lives. Its something that we all cherish and feel proud of when we see our kids grown to a perfect human being.It seems as if all our hard work and patience has been paid off.

Being a mom is so wonderful, it is one of the best things that god has us endowed us with.Motherhood is a life long journey.All through our lives we strive hard to make sure that our kids learn good things,develop healthy behavioural patterns and have the ability to distinguish right and wrong.

Mother and a child have a special unsaid bond between them.For a child his mother is someone who is the epitome of compassion,happiness, forgiveness, security and comfort to name a few. She is the one who tells her child that he is the best from the rest. Being a mother gives us that extra feel to understand our kids much better than anybody else in this whole world can !! Mothers are never alone in their thoughts, besides themselves they are constantly thinking of their children.That's called a mother's heart.Enjoy the feel of being a mother, a Creator who brings another human life in the world. Yes that's the power of a woman. Respect this fact and stand away from the crowd with heads held high and feel counted.

Remember when god thought of words like love,caring and sharing...the next possible thing he could think of was a "Mother".

Starting solids to the baby

The best time to start solid food to your baby is once he has completed his 6th month.But many moms start giving their child between four and half to fifth month onwards.(I being one of them). Many moms would agree with me that feeding soild food to your baby for the first time is so exciting. To see your baby gulping down that little amount of rice cereal , apple juice or enjoying the taste of banana, is so fulfilling to us !!

Its said that we should first start by giving rice cereal to the babies. Start with one spoon per day . You can gradually increase the intake depending on how your baby is taking it Let the baby enjoy the taste of one food for some time., dont jump in to add another food immediately. Once started givng solids, look for any kind of reaction on your little one's body, any kind of rash, pimples. swelling etc should be immediately informed to the pediatrician , If the baby is doing fine with the food then after 3-4 days ,start with another one.

Apart from the rice cereal ,you can also give them boiled and finely mashed pears,apples, potatoes, pulse soup, mashed banana sweet peas and carrot juice. Set a routine for the babies, as what is to be given what time of the day.Likewise they will also learn and develop their eating pattern.

To see your child enjoying his first food intake is worth capturing..So have your cameras ready ..!!!

Babies in the 5th month

The 5th month is said to be the period when babies' growth is pheonomenal.Suddenly your little one becomes more responsive, very active and is always trying to explore the world around him. This is the time when the moms will notice that their babies want to feel and touch different objects.Their grasping power has developed and as a result they like to reach the objects near them . So do keep some toys in front of them while they are having their tummy time . This way they will aslo learn to crawl very soon ..

This is the time when you can make them sit with a little support.Try different places, which would help them to maintain their body balance and gradually they will master the art of sitting. Babies are now at the stage where they are learning new words, you may not be aware of this ,but the fact is they try to imitate your lip movements. They are fascinated by the words you speak , hence teaching them words for everyhting thing you do , pick ,play would develop their cognitive skills.Next time you go out shopping with them, do point out at the things in different aisles.Repeat the words like bird, dog, tree, fan, sky by pointing them and yes..this is the best time to read stories to them.

So go ahead and enjoy your bonding time with your little ones..
